All funds raised locally to help support our build with your donation.
Materials: Donated or deeply discounted construction materials, equipment, as well as skilled labor, supplies, and land – are known as “Gifts In Kind” (GIK), and help power the Habitat mission, just like cash. If you are interested in donating lumber, bulk building or construction materials, or land to our next build please contact us.
All Gifts-in-Kind donation receive a letter from Palouse Habitat for Humanity for their donation. Your gift is often tax deductible (consult your tax professional for details.)
Labor: We also need skilled labor on the build site including roofing, drywall, and plumbing labor, plus skilled electricians. If you are a building professional or have a talent that you think can benefit Palouse Habitat, please contact us.
Land: With rising prices, securing land in Latah and Whitman counties for Palouse Habitat home build projects becomes more challenging. Land is the single biggest expense involved in building a Habitat home. If you are aware of a parcel of land in the area that may be available, we’d like to talk to you! Palouse Habitat also purchases land at fair appraisal value. If you know of a property or would like to speak to us about the sale or donation of your property, please contact the office or call 208-883-8502.
We like to recognize our business donors in various ways, such as through our website, Facebook page and social media, or newsletters.
Thank you to the following community partners and businesses that have donated significant funds or materials to help build the current Habitat home. Their support of our local community is greatly appreciated.
