Donate to the Build

Help build homes, communities and hope.

Materials: Donated or deeply discounted construction materials, equipment, as well as skilled labor, supplies and land – these are known as “Gifts In Kind” (GIK), and help power the Habitat mission, just like cash. If you are interested in donating lumber, bulk building or construction materials, or land to our next build, please contact us.

All Gift-in-Kind donors receive a letter from Palouse Habitat for Humanity for their records. Your gift may be tax deductible (consult your tax professional for details.)

Labor: Donation of skilled contract work and labor helps keep the homes affordable. In particular, we appreciate help with roofing, drywall, plumbing and electrical work. If you are a building professional or have a talent that you think can benefit Palouse Habitat, please contact us.

Land: With rising prices, securing land in Latah and Whitman counties for Palouse Habitat home build projects becomes more challenging every day. Land is the single biggest expense involved in building a Habitat home. If you are aware of a parcel of land in the area that may be available, we’d like to talk to you! Palouse Habitat also purchases land at fair appraisal value. If you know of a property or would like to speak to us about the sale or donation of your property, please contact the office or call 208-883-8502.

Donor Recognition: We honor the businesses and individuals who support us in various ways, such as through our website, Facebook page and social media, or newsletters.
