DID YOU KNOW?
Habitat for Humanity is a hand up, not a hand out! Our partner families must contribute 300-500 hours working on their home (sweat equity), save a $1000 down payment AND purchase the home from Palouse Habitat for Humanity. Palouse HFH sets a zero-interest mortgage based on the cost of materials to build the home. Those payments help build the next home. Why no interest? Exodus 22:25 If you lend money to one of my people among you who is needy, do not be like a moneylender; charge him no interest.
Palouse Habitat for Humanity adheres to the letter and spirit of federal fair housing law.
Palouse HfH News
Ken Hall Memorial Fund: The Ken Hall Memorial fund reached a total of $3,000. PHFH carefully considered the options and needs of the program, and recently purchased a used 14" box truck. This will help both the Surplus Sale and construction and home repair programs to grow, and better serve more families, and we know that is something Ken had in mind. When we have the funds, we"ll repaint the side to credit the Ken Hall Memorial Fund for making the purchase possible. Thank you to everyone who gave to Palouse Habitat in his memory.
