Building Hope in Pullman
Building Hope in Pullman
On Sunday, August 17, Palouse Habitat for Humanity celebrated a major milestone with the wall raising for Jake & Shayla’s Habitat home in Pullman, Washington. Volunteers, staff, and supporters came together to lift the walls and move this home one step closer to completion.
A Community Effort
Every Habitat home is built by many hands. From the first day of site prep to yesterday’s wall raising, progress has been made possible because of the hard work of our construction volunteers, the guidance of our crew, and the generosity of local donors and businesses.
We are especially grateful to everyone who joined us for the wall raising. Thank you also to those who have already helped this home take shape and to the many people who will continue to play a part in the weeks ahead. Together, we are building more than walls—we are building community.
Why Wall Raising Matters
A wall raising is more than just another day on the build site. It is a visible symbol of hope. For Jake & Shayla, seeing their future home rise from the ground marks the beginning of a new chapter. With the support of their community, they are working toward strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.
How You Can Help
