Moscow, Idaho. (February 1, 2022) — Palouse Habitat for Humanity has selected the future homeowner for its 22nd home build.

Aimee Martinez is a native to Moscow and an at-home health care provider. “My whole family is excited to participate in partnership with Habitat for Humanity. After living in rentals on a tight budget for so long, it feels great to know I can finally put roots down in this community that has always been home.”

Aimee and her sons enjoy spending time outdoors riding bikes, camping, geo-caching and floating the St. Joe with friends. Alex and Tony are in 7th grade at Moscow Middle School where they participate in Club Sawdust and wrestling.

Palouse Habitat expects the Martinez home to cost $162,000 to build. Funds to build the home will be raised and spent locally to purchase building materials and hire sub-contractors for electrical and plumbing work.

Help build the Martinez home! Support the Palouse Habitat annual fundraiser, Beans ‘n’ Jeans, online April 8-16 and in person on Saturday April 16 at 5:30 pm at the SEL Event Center in Pullman. Information available online at https://palousehabitat.org/events/beans-n-jeans. Or volunteer! Individuals and groups are welcome. Tools, supervision and training are provided. Please fill out the interest form online at https://palousehabitat.org/volunteer.
