We are overjoyed to officially announce the Uniontown, WA Habitat groundbreaking ceremony, marking the formal start of construction on our newest home build. This special event celebrates a major milestone for the Knudtson family as they prepare to partner with us. A groundbreaking ceremony is a beautiful, hopeful moment where neighbors, donors, volunteers, and local leaders come together. We turn the first soil for a family’s long-term stability and success.

How the Habitat Home Ownership Model Works

Many people misunderstand how Habitat homes are built. It’s a hand-up, not a hand-out. The Knudtson family will invest hundreds of hours of “sweat equity” working alongside our volunteer construction crews to build their own home. Afterward, they will pay an affordable mortgage down the line.
