Palouse Habitat for Humanity Recognized Top Tither!

Palouse Habitat for Humanity was recognized by Habitat for Humanity International for the second time as being one of the Top 10 Tithers nationwide for Habitat affiliates of our size.

“As a Christian ministry, tithe is central to what we do” shared Jennifer Wallace, Executive Director for Palouse HFH.  “Unless it is a grant for a specific purpose or the donor designates it for local use only, Palouse HFH sends 10% of what we raise each year to Habitat International to support home building and disaster response overseas.  We tithe primarily to our partner affiliate in Guatemala, and to date have helped build over 50 homes.  In the past, we have also sent volunteer teams to help build.”

“The need for safe, affordable housing is worldwide, and many countries lack resources to address the problem.  We’re here to help, and last year tithed almost $18,000.  Since 1992, Palouse HFH has helped build over 50 homes in Guatemala.”

Palouse HFH was the only affiliate in Idaho to receive this distinction, and one of two affiliates serving Washington.
