PHFH weekly update, 8/2/2021

Palouse Habitat Update for 8.2.2021 with recent picture of our Donation Truck picking up donated construction materials.

Construction/Home Repair Update:
There are 3 work days scheduled this week, with a departure from the usual work days.
Wed 4 Aug: Work at the south warehouse starting at 0800, building wooden ramp modules. Last week we made good progress and we hope to finish enough to install several ramp systems. Lunch on our own.
Friday 6 Aug: We will be working Friday instead of Thursday because we expect several United Way of Whitman County and United Way of Moscow/Latah County volunteers. We will be working simultaneously in 2 places:
        1. Work at the Uniontown site starting at 0800. Emphasis on framing (walls) at the Hansen home. We will monitor air quality and will shift to working in the Leaseburg home interior if conditions warrant. Lunch will be provided.
        2. We will install a ramp in Moscow. Meet at the south warehouse at 0800 to load the truck; we’ll meet with United Way volunteers at the Habitat office at 0830, then proceed to the installation site. Lunch will be provided.
Saturday 7 Aug: Work at the Uniontown site starting at 0800. Continue emphasis on framing the Hansen home; same considerations as Friday. Lunch on our own.
The weather conditions are forecast to continue hot and with variable air quality. Stay hydrated and rest when your body tells you to. Masks are not mandatory if you’re not vaccinated, but they are still a good idea – not only as Covid protection but also as helping when the air quality warrants it. Bring your own or get one at the work site.
Things change, so watch for updates.
