Palouse Habitat Update for Week of January 17, 2022

Palouse Habitat Update for 1.17.2022 – a big thank you to everyone who donated to help us finish the Hansen home! Between Alternative Giving Market of the Palouse, Avenues for Hope, and direct donations, we raised over $50,805! This beats the $50,100 goal we set at the beginning of the season. Of course, you are still more than welcome to donate so we can start our Moscow build this year.

Construction/Home Repair Schedule:

Good day all;
   There are several work days this week (at least 3; maybe more).
Monday 17 Jan (Martin Luther King Day): A small crew will leave the Surplus Sales at 0830 to retrieve a wheelchair lift (VPL) from Kamiah. It will next be delivered to St John; lunch on our own.
Tuesday 18 Jan: The VPL will be delivered to St John, unless there was sufficient time to deliver it on Monday. If necessary the crew will leave from the Surplus Sales at 0900.
Wed 19 Jan: Meet at the south warehouse at 0900; we will repair an aluminum ramp system in Moscow. Lunch on our own.
Sat 22 Jan: Work begins inside the Hansen house at 0900. Lunch on our own. We will observe the Covid protocols (masks, etc). We will be replacing the double glass door on the side of the house with a single one that will hopefully work.
   Changes may occur, so watch for updates. Note that the Saturday work day was originally scheduled for Thursday, the 20th.

Palouse Habitat Surplus Sale will be open regular hours Wednesday-Saturday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at 304 North Main in Moscow. Call 208-883-8502 to schedule a donation truck pick-up.

The Habitat office will be open Monday-Friday 10:30 to 2:30. Please call ahead before stopping by, as some staff may be working from home.
